Life at Alpha

Welcome to Alpha Learning, we hope that on this website you will find all the information you need in order to be confident that Alpha is the right place for your child , and also to provide you with all the information you may need throughout your child’s time with us.

Alpha Learning is proud to be a little bit different from other schools you may have seen, we have small classes so we can give your child the attention they need to progress and learn. We only have very small student numbers, a maximum of 30 per day, this means they will get to know the other students quickly. Our staff are a close team and have various strengths that complement each other to provide your child with the best educational experience possible tailored to their needs.

We offer a full range of subjects to our learners as can be seen in our curriculum offer, the subjects they will be entered for exam will vary depending on the number of days they attend Alpha and their ability this will be discussed with both the student and their parents/carer on admission and throughout their time with us.

We take the pastoral needs of our students very seriously and are often the link between home, school and key workers and other agency staff. As we spend large amounts of time with the students we are able to understand their needs and frustrations and help them to represent their point of view and to take ownership for their future. We also aim to develop good relationships with the parents/carers of our students, we are here to help you with any queries you may have.

We hope that many of your questions can be answered on the pages on this website, however if you have any more questions please feel free to contact us on 01782 212807 and ask to speak to Nadine Wedgewood our Centre Manager.
